Junior Boomi Developer
Software Engineering
Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam
Role Overview
We are looking for a Graduate / Junior Boomi Integration Developer to join our Integrations & Data team within IT Enterprise Applications. Working alongside experienced developers, you will help build and maintain integrations across our core platforms, including Salesforce, NetSuite, Snowflake and third-party APIs, using Boomi as our integration platform. You will deliver well-defined tasks and stories with guidance and build a strong foundation to progress to an IC2 role. Prior Boomi experience is not essential: we welcome graduates and people who want to cross-train from another integration platform (such as MuleSoft, Azure Integration Services, Informatica, Talend, SnapLogic or Workato) or from a development background, and we will support you to get certified.
Key Responsibilities
Build, test and deploy well-defined Boomi integration processes with guidance and code review from senior developers
Create and update Boomi maps, connector configurations and simple process logic, following team standards
Support the maintenance of integrations between Salesforce, NetSuite, Snowflake and third-party APIs
Implement standard error handling and logging patterns in your processes
Test REST and SOAP APIs using tools such as Postman, and validate data in JSON, XML and flat-file formats
Monitor integration health using Boomi's operational dashboards, investigate failures and escalate appropriately
Help with incident triage in hypercare and BAU, and learn from root cause analysis
Participate in agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives) within the ITEA delivery model and keep Jira tickets up to date
Contribute to documentation: runbooks, process descriptions and change records
Take part in code reviews to learn team conventions and integration standards
Work through a structured learning plan, including Boomi Associate Integration Developer certification
Required Skills & Experience
0–2 years of experience in an integration, software development or technical IT role, or a relevant degree, apprenticeship or bootcamp
Boomi experience is not required; experience with another integration platform, or a strong interest in integration, is equally welcome
Basic understanding of APIs and web services (REST, and ideally SOAP)
Familiarity with common data formats: JSON, XML and CSV
Basic SQL: SELECT, JOINs and filtering
Logical, analytical approach to problem-solving and attention to detail
Clear written and verbal communication, and comfort asking questions and seeking feedback
Willingness to learn Boomi quickly and work towards certification
Mindset & Behaviours
A genuine curiosity and drive to keep learning, both through structured training and by figuring things out yourself
Enjoys a challenge: you're motivated by solving problems you haven't seen before rather than put off by them
Accountable for your work: you take ownership of your tasks, follow through on commitments and are open when things go wrong
Keen to learn and use AI tools (such as Claude or GitHub Copilot) to work smarter, for example to write, review and test code, troubleshoot issues and produce documentation, while checking outputs carefully
Open to feedback and willing to ask for help when you need it
Desirable Skills
Boomi Associate Integration Developer certification, or progress towards it
Hands-on exposure to an iPaaS or ETL tool (Boomi, MuleSoft, Azure Logic Apps, Informatica, Talend, SnapLogic, Workato or similar)
Some programming or scripting experience (JavaScript, Groovy, Python, Java or C#)
Awareness of Salesforce or NetSuite data structures
Awareness of API authentication methods such as OAuth 2.0 and API keys
Experience working in an Agile team or using Jira and Confluence, including through university or personal projects
Personal, academic or work projects connecting systems or APIs that you can talk us through
