AI Native Engineer
Software Engineering, Data Science
Hyderabad, Telangana, India
Role Summary
As a Software Engineer (IC2) at Keyloop, you will be a productive and increasingly independent member of an engineering team building the connected auto retail ecosystem. You will deliver medium-sized features with growing autonomy, write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code, and actively contribute to team culture and knowledge sharing. We are tech stack agnostic: we believe a strong engineer with solid fundamentals and AI-assisted tooling can thrive on any technology. This role is ideal for engineers who have moved beyond foundational learning and are ready to take ownership of meaningful deliverables within a collaborative, agile environment.
Competency Expectations
Aligned with the Keyloop Engineering Career Framework, this role is assessed across five core competency domains:
Competency Domain | What We Expect |
Technical Mastery & Innovation | Demonstrates proficiency in the team's tech stack. Writes clean, maintainable, well-tested code with minimal guidance. Follows established patterns and contributes to code quality. |
Execution & Delivery | Independently owns the delivery of medium-sized features. Accurately estimates tasks and provides reliable status updates. Manages own workload effectively within sprints. |
Leadership & Influence | Is a positive influence on team culture. Onboards new team members. Begins to mentor interns or IC1 engineers, helping them ramp up and grow. |
Communication & Collaboration | Clearly articulates technical concepts to peers. Writes clear and concise documentation. Participates actively in team discussions, code reviews, and design sessions. |
Product & Business Impact | Understands the "why" behind their work, including the customer problem and business outcome. Connects technical decisions to user value and product goals. |
