We are looking for a detail-oriented, highly organized music enthusiast to assist the Creative Team in Los Angeles. You would have relevant administrative experience, but bonus points for having working experience within a publishing company, record label, management or other creative field.

Assisting both the Head Of Global Creative & Head of West Coast Creative with calendar, travel, expenses among other things, you need to be a natural communicator with strong organizational skills and a proactive attitude.

WHAT WOULD YOU DO AS THE CREATIVE ASSISTANT?

  • You assist the Head Of Global Creative & Head of West Coast Creative with a range of administrative tasks as well as manage activities across the wider Los Angeles Creative Team (coordinating/sending calendar invites, booking meeting rooms, coordinating in office client visits, hangs, and signings etc.).
  • You attend and take notes during department meetings as well as provide back-up administrative support to the office and other departments, as needed.
  • You will compile the weekly Creative Update Report for distribution to the Executive Leadership Team as well as research and compile spreadsheets with information about songwriters, artists and specific projects.
  • You also handle the Weekly Billboard Chart Research and assist in completing analytics reports on a quarterly basis including Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, and TikTok.
  • You provide support to the Brand & Social Manager by way of assisting in content planning, creating assets for socials, and posting to socials as well as support with strategies for upcoming releases, anniversaries, celebratory months, etc.

WHAT SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • This is an entry level role, where your passion for music and eagerness to learn and jump into a busy team is most important.
  • If you have prior experience working or interning in music publishing, this is a plus.
  • You have had the relevant administrative experience as well as supporting a busy and dynamic department having some working knowledge of expenses and budgets.
  • You are comfortable communicating with a wide range of creative personalities (executives, artists, producers, and songwriters), so having good relationship-building skills is a must .
  • You are comfortable around social media as well as willing to learn more.
  • You are a highly organized individual with exceptional attention to detail, a proactive attitude and can work efficiently under pressure.
  • Excellent IT and tech skills proficient in using both Mac and PC as well as Google Workplace (Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Sheets, Slides) and MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel etc.).

The range provided is for Los Angeles-based hires only and will be commensurate with candidate experience. Pay ranges for candidates in other locations other than Los Angeles may differ based on the cost of labor in that location.
