Kobalt is seeking an Tech & Product-focused Business Partner for a temporary maternity cover starting in December 2023 for up to 12 months.

Joining a values-driven People & Culture team, reporting to the Director of People & Culture for the UK & Rest of World, this role will support circa 80 employees across Kobalt Music Groups Technology and Product division (known internally as KTech), as well partnering with the Tech Recruiters for the function and the Global People & Culture Team.

This is an exciting time for Kobalt having backing of technology-focused investment firm Francisco Partners which will benefit our future growth in developing ambitious technology and creator-friendly services to transform the music industry.

This role would be ideal for someone who enjoys change and an opportunity to improve processes as you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting a new leadership team with initiatives to help drive engagement as well as building new remote teams as we are expanding our operations in Ireland.

Our People & Culture team is a close-knit and highly collaborative group of 13 across London, New York and Los Angeles who are passionate about creating an inclusive and supportive environment for employees to reach their full potential.

WHAT DOES A PEOPLE & CULTURE BUSINESS PARTNER AT KOBALT DO?

  • Partner with Technology & Product leadership team on people & culture and change management initiatives.
  • Provide support to management with all aspects of the Performance Lifecycle and Objective Setting.
  • Partnering with line management and employees to enhance employee engagement and culture.
  • Lead on P&C projects. Full E2E execution from proposal / development to implementation including creation of supporting documentation and communication plan.
  • Partner with management to promote and engage in well-being and diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives.
  • Manage and resolve all employee relation cases E2E.
  • Partner with management to create a learning and development strategy focused on continued learning.
  • Utilise data and insights to create solid business cases to drive change and support business decisions.

WHAT SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Business Partnering:

  • Senior level stakeholder management.
  • Using metrics / data to advise and influence.
  • Strong handling of managing complex ER cases.

HR knowledge:

  • Broad generalist understanding and exposure to the following would be advantageous: managing annual salary reviews, actioning employee survey results, creating and delivering workshops, performance management, career ladders/job levelling, succession planning and financial resource forecasting/management as well as change management.

Attributes:

  • Business savvy and analytical.
  • Can manage a heavy workload in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication with first class relationship building skills.
  • A self-starter who has a problem-solving mindset with a flexible and proactive attitude.
  • Curious with a can-do attitude and sense of urgency.
