As the Intern in the Writer and Publisher Relations team in New York, we can offer you learning and insight into the world of Music Publishing as you work alongside a high-performing, global team in their day to day dealing with clients from welcoming new talent to Kobalt and being a point of contact for any questions they may have to providing support and assistance in a wide range of tasks.

During your time with us, you’ll develop key professional skills such as communication and attention to detail as well as build up confidence and business acumen collaborating with teams all over the world.

About you

• You are interested in music and technology as well as curious by nature with a process-driven mindset to problem solving completing tasks accurately and efficiently.
• You are a natural self-starter who can demonstrate excellent customer service skills, a positive attitude and an ability to take initiative and show willingness to deliver help where required.

About our program

Our internship is a paid 6-month program that runs from 7th October 2024 to end of March 2025. You will work 15 hours a week, and alongside your day to day duties, we offer you a special speaker series where once a quarter, you will have access to a wide range of industry professionals to immerse yourself in the music publishing industry.

As if that wasn’t enough, you will have an opportunity to work on a reflective paper or project and at the end of the program, present directly to our senior-level executives. Alongside our other benefits, we are open to a hybrid working arrangement, but recommend you spend a minimum of 2 days in the office to learn from the best team in the business and enjoy the perks of what our office space can offer!
