The Role

As a Manager, Corporate Finance (FP&A), you’ll be a key member of our global Corporate Finance team based in London. You'll support all of Kobalt’s business units, playing an essential role in the forecasting and analysis of financial performance especially related to costs. Reporting into the Director, Corporate Finance, you’ll own and develop forecasting models, collaborate with business partners to provide budgets and cost insights, and contribute to accurate financial reporting and senior management analysis.

WHAT DOES A FP&A Manager AT KOBALT DO?

  • Budgeting: Partner with business leaders to create, manage and maintain annual budgets, expense models and monthly forecasts
  • Insights: Perform variance analysis and deliver commentary versus budget, forecasts and prior year actuals
  • Management Reporting: Partner with Accounting, assist in essential month-end close processes including consolidated reporting, utilising NetSuite and NSPB
  • Headcount: Manage headcount by coordinating with People & Culture and monitoring progress against hiring plans
  • Board & External Presentations: Support preparation of board materials and external presentations
  • Automation: Support continuous improvement in modeling and forecasting through automation and assist in documenting critical workflows

What You’ll Bring

Preferred:

  • Extensive experience of progressive FP&A.
  • Qualified Accountant (CPA, CA, CIMA, or equivalent) with experience managing FP&A processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling.
  • Experience using financially-integrated systems such as Netsuite, Adaptive Insights, Hyperion, SAP, etc. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a must.
  • Experience training and supporting a junior member of the team, whilst managing multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Track record of business partnering, with ability to distil business decisions into financial assumptions
  • Team player with ability to build organizational relationships and work collaboratively with a diverse group of people at all levels.
  • Critical thinker and strong problem solver with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in process design and automation, working with technical teams in order to drive improvements in process and tooling

What Success Looks Like

By Month 1: You’ll support the month-end close and budgeting cycle, working confidently with internal systems and stakeholders
By Month 3: You’ll independently manage expense forecasting, reporting cycles, and variance analysis across business units
By Month 6: You’ll identify areas for automation, optimise budgeting workflows, and provide strategic insights to senior leadership

  • Final stage interviews
  • Feedback at each stage
