Since March 2020, our Zoomers have worked remotely and reported a better work-life balance with more time for family and personal wellness. We describe our policy as ‘remote first,’ meaning that Zoomers are not expected to come into an office for a fixed number of days outside of those employees identified as essential onsite workers. We continue to invest in innovative and collaborative office space and encourage employees to be in person when possible to enhance collaboration and overall engagement. The ideal candidate for this role will be located in one of the geographies where we have office space and a concentration of LegalZoom employees.
This position will ideally be located in the LA Metro office location or SF Bay area).
Our goal is to provide our customers, solo-preneurs and small businesses with the right products and services to empower them to make their dreams a reality. We’re seeking an experienced Sale/Go-to-Market Strategy Leader to join our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong Sales/GTM strategy background with a particular emphasis on experience working with small businesses, developing the playbook, propensity models and analysis, vendor partnerships, customer experience, and a deep understanding of upsell and post-purchase sales. This should include a depth of experience working cross-functionally to identify specific customers with specific needs at specific times. The successful candidate can zoom out and see the whole picture while diving into the details to build a comprehensive sales/GTM strategy. The Director of GTM Strategy has a proven track record of success using an analytical approach to understand how to drive sustainable growth and will have extensive experience partnering cross-functionally with tech, product, marketing, and operations.
You will
  • Maintain critical relationships with existing and/or prospective partners
  • ​​Create the strategy the execution of revenue-driving programs and initiatives
  • Ensure effective and timely internal & external communication
  • Maintain pipeline and dashboards that communicate to Executive Leadership the effectiveness of identified programs and investments
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including tech, product, marketing, operations, and customer success
  • Responsible for creating a strategy to engage with Legal Zoom customers 30-60-90 days after initial formation to upsell products and services
You have
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Sales/GTM strategy in a leadership role, with a focus on successfully implementing sales strategies and driving results through a third-party vendor
  • Proven track record of Sales/GTM, sales leadership in a tech-forward industry
  • Strong knowledge and experience in building customer relationships based on trust and long-term value
  • Deep expertise in analytics and working with propensity models leading to curated customer segments
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously
  • Strong tolerance for ambiguity; able to focus and execute in a changing environment; ability to make things happen
  • Executive presence to lead, manage, and influence
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • A bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred
  • Remote employees should confirm that the internet service available has adequate bandwidth to support all work processes.

LegalZoom is a remote-first company whose national range for this role is ($172,100-$223,150). Actual compensation offered will depend on several factors, including but not limited to: geographic location, work experience, education, skill level, and/or other business and organizational needs. In addition, an annual bonus, incentive bonus, and/or restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package.
