Litmos is seeking a full-time HR Generalist to support our U.S. workforce across the full employee lifecycle. This role plays a critical part in ensuring smooth HR operations, regulatory compliance, and an excellent employee experience. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, service-minded, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, growing organization.
This position partners closely with employees, managers, payroll, benefits providers, and external vendors to deliver consistent, compliant, and people-centered HR support.
Key Responsibilities
Employee Lifecycle & HR Operations
- Manage end-to-end onboarding processes for U.S. employees, including new hire documentation, system setup, and orientation coordination.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in HRIS, ensuring data integrity and compliance.
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee questions related to HR policies, programs, and procedures, delivering timely and high-quality support.
- Support offboarding processes, including system updates, documentation, and benefits transitions.
Leave of Absence, Compliance & Risk Management
- Administer and manage all U.S. Leave of Absence programs in partnership with third-party vendors, including: FMLA, state-sponsored leaves, STD/LTD, ADA accommodations, military leave (USERRA), and corporate-sponsored disability programs.
- Act as a subject matter expert on U.S. leave policies, ensuring consistent application and compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Coordinate workers’ compensation claims and OSHA reporting, providing updates to internal stakeholders as needed.
- Support internal and external audits by collecting and validating HR compliance data.
Benefits Administration
- Lead U.S. benefits administration activities, including enrollments, life event changes, and employee inquiries.
- Partner with benefits vendors and brokers to manage data accuracy, premium reconciliation, eligibility audits, beneficiary updates, and issue resolution.
- Support annual benefits renewal and open enrollment activities.
Payroll Support
- Provide operational support for U.S. payroll processing for salaried and hourly non-exempt employees.
- Partner with payroll providers and finance to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant payroll execution.
- Assist with payroll audits, reconciliations, and issue resolution.
Vendor & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Manage day-to-day relationships with HR vendors, including payroll, benefits, and leave administrators.
- Participate in regular vendor meetings to ensure service-level agreements, regulatory compliance, and data accuracy.
- Collaborate with People, Finance, Legal, and Operations teams to support employee engagement initiatives and process improvements.
Projects & Continuous Improvement
- Contribute to HR process optimization, documentation, and system enhancements.
- Support HR initiatives and special projects as business needs evolve.
Required Skills & Experience
- 3–6+ years of progressive HR experience in a U.S.-focused HR Generalist or HR Operations role.
- Strong working knowledge of U.S. employment laws and regulations (federal, state, and local).
- Hands-on experience with Leave of Absence administration, benefits, payroll support, and workers’ compensation.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
- High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a customer-first mindset.
- Proven ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now.
- Experience with Greenhouse (ATS) or similar applicant tracking systems.
- Background supporting remote or multi-state U.S. workforces.
- Experience working in SaaS or high-growth environments.
Salary: 75k - 95k base plus 10% bonus
