Location: APAC (fully remote)
LiveU is seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to drive our expansion in the safety, homeland security (HLS), and defense sectors globally. This role is crucial for continuing our growth and strengthening our presence in these critical areas. As a Business Developer you will identify and create new opportunities, drive market growth, and develop strong partnerships.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning and Execution
- Develop and implement strategic plans to penetrate and grow key markets.
- Identify and capitalize on untapped opportunities to expand market share and revenue.
- Represent LiveU’s values and solutions in global markets.
Regional Expansion and Pipeline Development
- Increase short- and long-term revenue in safety, HLS, defense, and associated sectors.
- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline, ensuring alignment with market trends and goals.
Partner Recruitment and Management
- Identify, recruit, and onboard partners to enhance market coverage.
- Provide training, ongoing support, and foster strong partnerships for mutual growth.
End-User Engagement
- Develop tailored solutions to meet end-user needs and conduct impactful presentations.
- Strengthen relationships with current users by identifying upgrade opportunities and enhancing satisfaction.
Collaboration and Field Communication
- Collaborate with sales teams to ensure seamless handovers and ongoing operation.
- Maintain regular communication with field teams, sharing insights and aligning strategies.
Requirements
- 8+ years of general business development experience
- At least 5+ years of experience in business development or sales within safety/defense markets (e.g., communications, optics, video, wireless, drones)
- Proven track record in managing complex solutions that integrate hardware and software.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Business Administration, Marketing, Communications); a master’s degree is a plus.
- Strong negotiation, relationship-building, and strategic planning skills.
- Ability to analyze market trends and deliver compelling presentations.
- Proficiency in CRM tools and familiarity with sales processes.
- Highly motivated, results-oriented, and proactive.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Adaptability to dynamic environments and a collaborative mindset.
- Required multiple business trips annually.
