About the role:
- The Solutions Engineer at LiveU supports the US Public Safety and Critical Infrastructure Sales division by demystifying complex subjects and closing the gap between our products and our customer's needs. By listening closely to the customer and having mastery of LiveU products, this role ensure that their needs are met, and the LiveU EcoSystem can be seamlessly integrated into new and existing workflows and mission capabilities.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the technical sales process, understanding and translating customer needs into technical requirements
- White glove handling and primary technical point of contact during pre-sales process
- Assist with customer technical discovery using a solutions-based approach
- Manage accounts in active demo/POC status
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all LiveU products
- Create workflow drawings that reflect the pre-sales design and eventual as-built state
- Provide field support for LiveU software and hardware solutions
- Assist with product deployment, installation, and troubleshooting
- Provide training for customers & partners remotely and on-site
- Work closely with Customer Success Manager once sales are complete and customer is active
Requirements
- Competency with IT, telecommunications, computers, network connectivity and video encoding technologies
- Bachelor’s degree in business, IT-related field, or equivalent real-world experience
- Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time for trade shows and customer visits
- MS office proficiency: Windows, Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.
- 5+ years of experience in pre and post-sales support within law enforcement and/or critical infrastructure markets
- Excellent communication, presentation & time management skills
- Visio, Lucid platform experience
- Federal Aviation Administration Part 107 Remote Pilot license
- Active driver’s license and a clean driving record
- Proficient in English

- RTSP, SRT, RTMP & WebRTC encoding/transport
- TAK solutions for mobile and desktop
- AES256 encryption
- Cellular networks, modem technologies & satellite solutions
- Familiar with VPC and related cloud environments
- Practical experience with video management products
- Public Safety & Critical Infrastructure experience
- Mapping and the capture of data used for reconstruction and digital twin creation
- Linux experience (CLI)
- Salesforce proficiency
- VPN and L2 protocols
- Project management
