About the Role
Lucidworks is seeking a Manager of Engineering Operations to provide Agile leadership (including managing a team) and guide cross-functional teams through the entire Software Development Life Cycle. You will drive process and technology improvements that reduce cross-organizational dependencies and delays for engineers and proactively address issues that help deliver new products to market. You will be the gatekeeper of Technical Program Management and help solve how we scale our product development processes and enable us to deliver value to our customers efficiently and effectively.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead the Technical Program Management team in supporting our engineering initiatives.
  • Lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects across many functional areas to deliver features and releases, while balancing business needs and technical constraints.
  • Own the engineering intake process, facilitating working sessions to review and refine product specifications and make data-driven decisions
  • Support multiple SDLCs and engineering teams
  • Support/serve multiple teams and Product Managers to drive release goals and outcomes
  • Manage the interaction between engineering, product, and other functions by identifying priorities, defining cross-functional milestones, and coordinating schedules.
  • Drive effective teamwork, communication, collaboration, and commitment across multiple disparate groups with competing priorities.
  • Develop tools, documentation, and processes to improve software engineering productivity.
  • Continuously evolve best practices for R&D Operations
  • Be passionate about the quality of what you do with an intense desire to continue to make everything you are involved in better

Skills & Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Program Manager, Release Manager, Product Owner, or Technical Project Manager
  • 3+ years of experience managing teams
  • JIRA/Confluence proficiency is a must.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with JIRA Administration including configuring, customizing, and administering JIRA instances. Experience in creating and managing JIRA workflows, permission schemes, issue types, and project configurations to optimize team collaboration and project tracking
  • Experience with delivering software to market in an Agile environment
  • Experience working in and implementing Frameworks (Kanban, Scrum, SAFe, etc.) preferred
  • Extensive knowledge of software release management
  • Experience successfully managing relationships with senior leaders
  • Scrum/Agile or Project management certifications a plus
  • Resourceful-willing to jump in, be agile/flexible, leverage existing resources to accomplish goals, ability to work independently
  • Team player-confident in collaborating with a diverse community of people and personalities across geographies, backgrounds, and professional abilities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Acceptable background check
