We are seeking a Cloud Native QA Engineer to work with our development teams, to test and certify our distributed enterprise software product.
You will be involved in setting up GKE cloud test environments, application deployment, configuration, and performing both manual and automated testing.
You will be writing test scripts and implementing various automation processes.

What You will Do:

Setup and maintain the large-scale infrastructure that powers our MATRIXX Digital Commerce Platform
Investigate, diagnose, and resolve performance, robustness and reliability that stem from testing in a wide range of large-scale and high-throughput services
Build and maintain monitoring, alerting, and trending operational tools in cloud environments, in particular GKE
Collaborate with architects and application engineers to ensure applications are maintainable, scalable, and follow appropriate disaster recovery and high availability strategies
Contribute to handbook, runbooks, and general documentation

You will be an ideal candidate if you have:

3+ years of experience testing with Google Kubernetes environments
Experience with GKE deployments, node upgrade strategies, node security, auto scaling, auto healing, logging and monitoring is required.
Experience operating a distributed system production environment at high scale with emphasis on availability, latency , cost-optimization and healthy customer experience
Experience in testing and verification of enterprise-quality products
Deep knowledge of container orchestration/deployment/monitoring tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Istio, Fluentd, Prometheus/Grafana, Swarm, etc.
Familiar with configuration management tools: Terraform, Chef, Ansible
Familiar with CI/CD pipelines, source control and build tools like GIT, Jenkins.
Experience in software development in one or more of the following: C, C++, Java, Go and/or Perl, Python.one or more scripting languages , Preferabley Python.
Strong team player with a “can do” attitude, and the flexibility to jump in wherever needed
Thrives as part of a small engineering team and is excited to solve challenging issues across the stack
Working knowledge of server virtualization, storage and networking
Knowledge of the Linux operating system
BS/MS in Computer Science/Engineering (or equivalent)

Base Salary is determined by the applicant’s experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. Most sales positions are eligible for a commission under the terms of an applicable plan, while most non-sales positions are eligible for a bonus.
