Responsibilities:

  • Clinical Vision: Lead and guide the clinical vision of Merge, collaborating with product and development teams to shape the direction of our solutions.

  • Product clinical guidance: Utilize clinical expertise and broad clinical relationships to inform product development based on broad feedback versus personal opinion. Provide valuable design feedback on the clinical user experience and user interface, ensuring optimal usability and customer satisfaction.

  • Medical Imaging Market insights: Share in-depth knowledge and understanding of the medical imaging market, including emerging trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs.

  • Clinical Customer Engagement: Engage with customers’ physicians to understand their needs, address concerns, and engage as a peer physician. Utilize sophisticated customer-facing skills to build strong relationships. Build and lead and active Radiologist User Community.

  • Media Interviews: Represent Merge in media interviews, showcasing your industry expertise and advocating for the functionality and benefits of our products.

  • Research and Curiosity: Stay informed of new imaging technologies, clinical tech trends, literature on medical topics and industry best practices. Continuously evaluate and recommend new technologies or approaches to enhance our offerings. Display a curious personality and a passion for continuous learning.

  • Quality Management System (QMS): Assist in regulatory work required for compliance with FDA and other regulatory bodies, and to support activities required for compliance with Merge’s QMS; for example, patient safety assessment of product features and customer complaints. Respond promptly to patient safety feedback, ensuring quick turnaround and resolution. Occasionally work outside of regular business hours to address critical issues.

  • Industry Evangelism: Act as an evangelist for Merge at trade shows, customer governance meetings, and 1:1 customer meetings. Promote Merge's products and services to key stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Medical Degree: Hold an MD or DO degree, with specialization in Radiology. Must be practicing in the United States, preferably located in the Midwest or East Coast.

  • Clinical Expertise: Extensive experience in the medical imaging field. A general understanding of cardiology is desirable (but not required).

  • Imaging and Informatics: Familiarity with imaging and informatics systems. Prior experience with Merge's imaging products is preferred, but in absence of direct experience, a willingness to learn Merge products is essential.

  • Excellent Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with customers, media, and internal teams.

  • Curiosity and Continuous Learning: Possess a curious personality and a passion for continuous learning. Stay up to date with industry advancements and research.

  • Team Collaboration: Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including product management, development, and customer support.

  • Clinical Leadership: Ability to provide clinical guidance, lead the clinical vision, and assist in the development of new healthcare solutions.

  • Regulatory Compliance: Familiarity with quality management systems, complaints management, safety assessments, and other regulatory requirements.

  • Limited Travel: Limited travel requirements, approximately 5-10% for critical trade show attendance, customer engagements and to Merge office locations for internal meetings.

Join Merge and make a significant impact on the medical imaging field by leveraging your expertise and clinical insights to shape the future of healthcare solutions. Apply now and become an integral part of our innovative and dynamic team.
