This is a position on the Drug File and Products team within the Editorial Department of Merative™ Micromedex®. As a Data Specialist, you will be responsible for content creation, review, and maintenance of clinical drug and product information. This is primarily a data entry role, with work serving as a foundation for a wide variety of professional clinical and consumer education content.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Evaluate and enter time-sensitive clinical product and pricing information into a database that is used to support multiple products

  • Perform data normalization prior to data entry, using controlled terminology and following strict editorial guidelines

  • Review content created by other editors and provide verbal and written feedback to improve quality and consistency of content

  • Research and resolve internal and external inquiries requiring domain expertise

  • Perform quality control testing of Micromedex products; assist with development of quality assurance protocols

  • Research and contact multiple sources to obtain required product documentation

  • May provide support to other departments and business units as required

Basic Qualifications (minimum requirements needed to perform this job)

  • Pharmacy technician certification plus 2 years related work experience, or 4 years related work experience Strong computer skills; familiarity with Microsoft Office products (e.g., Word, Excel, Access) and Adobe Professional

  • Solid knowledge of internet searching and pharmaceutical terminology

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with management and other team members

  • Demonstrated ability to apply pharmacy knowledge and experience in critical thinking and problem solving; ability to recognize discrepancies in data

  • Ability to solve problems, independently organize work, and perform multiple tasks

Education and Certification Requirements

  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT), Preferred

Work Environment

  • Office/Work Environment Specifics: Hybrid office/remote environment

  • Travel requirements: Minimal, for in-person team meetings (approximately annually)
