How you will contribute:
Learn and understand Micromedex’s products, business model, strategy, culture, etc. to develop a deep understanding of the business and support its revenue goals through contracting activities.
Initiate, review, redline, and efficiently negotiate a broad range of transactional contracts including, but not limited to, software as a service or cloud services agreements, master agreements, statements of work, trial agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and vendor agreements. Some familiarity with business associate agreements and data privacy terms and government contracting is a plus.
Support Micromedex by efficiently managing standard and complex contracts.
Analyze contract terms and conditions, evaluate prior terms and conditions, determine the need for contract amendments or renewals, and make recommendations and/or negotiate revisions within guidelines, utilizing contract playbooks and feedback from subject matter experts to support the company’s financial objectives.
Coordinate contract review and collaborate with internal subject matter experts and functional leads (e.g., in house counsel, sales, compliance, finance/accounting, information security, etc.) to receive and provide guidance on contract terms and risks; draft alternate contract provisions that are aligned with company policies and stakeholder feedback.
Develop strong business relationships with key internal stakeholders including Micromedex leadership, and external parties such as customers and suppliers to ensure an effective, efficient and beneficial contracting experience.
Assist with managing playbooks, templates, processes and clause libraries and drive compliance with Micromedex contracting policies and procedures.
Work with existing contract management systems and contract processes.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed, requested, and/or assigned.
What you will bring:
Bachelor’s Degree with 8 + years of experience drafting and negotiating contracts in the technology field (including SaaS/cloud terms), with preferably some of that experience in healthcare and data privacy.
Strong drafting and negotiation skills and demonstrated ability to negotiate complex transactions.
Practical, business-driven problem-solving skills with proven ability to manage competing priorities and close complex transactions in a dynamic fast-paced environment.
Exceptionally detail oriented, possesses a sense of urgency and produce high-quality workwith minimal supervision.
An unwavering commitment to customer service for internal and external clients.
Exceptional interpersonal skills and verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence and drive change and communicate with diverse personalities in a tactful, reliable and flexible manner.
Advanced level skills with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, and experience with or ability to learn to use CRM and CLM tools

The salary range provided in this job posting is intended to reflect the general market value for the position. The actual salary offered may vary based on factors such as the candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and the specific requirements of the role. This range may also be subject to change as market conditions evolve. We encourage open communication throughout the interview process to discuss compensation expectations. For base-salary + commission sales roles, the range represents On-Target Earnings.
