Key Responsibilities
- Work with Microsoft Fabric components such as OneLake, Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, Dataflows Gen2, and Notebooks.
- Build and optimize semantic models using Power BI datasets and DAX.
- Develop and manage ETL/ELT pipelines using Fabric Data Factory.
- Integrate data from multiple sources including SQL Server, Azure SQL, APIs, and cloud data sources.
- Ensure data accuracy, performance optimization, and scalability of BI solutions.
- Implement row-level security (RLS) and data governance standards.
- Support production deployments and provide ongoing enhancements.
- Power BI Dashboard Creation & Management: Design, develop, and maintain a variety of Power BI dashboards and reports tailored to the specific needs of different projects, scrum teams, and stakeholders.
- Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with project managers, scrum masters, and team members to understand their information needs and translate them into effective dashboard visualizations.
- Training & Support: Provide training and support to users on how to effectively use Power BI dashboards and interpret the data presented in dashboards.
- Reporting & Analysis: Generate regular reports based on the data collected in Fabric warehouse, highlighting key metrics, trends, and potential issues.
- Staying Up-to-Date: Keep abreast of the latest PBI/Fabric features, best practices, and industry trends to ensure our Jira implementation is optimized.
- Documentation: Create and maintain clear documentation for PBI Fabric Lakehouse/Warehouse configurations, datasets and data models.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 4–6 years of experience in reporting tools like Power BI development / Tableau.
- Mandatory Required Certification: Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Solution Architect Expert.
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric.
- Strong knowledge of DAX, Power Query, Power Automation and data modelling best practices.
- Expertise in pulling and aggregating data sets from multiple data sources (Azure portals, performance systems, ServiceNow, Oracle ERP, Workday, Jira, SonarQube, etc).
- Experience in FinOps analysis and financial reporting.
- Experience with data modelling, star/snowflake schemas.
- Experience with ETL processes, SQL, and database design.
- Knowledge of Fabric Lakehouse and Warehousing concepts.
- Experience with Azure Data Services (Azure SQL, Synapse, Data Lake).
- Understanding of data security, RLS, and governance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with Python or Spark in Fabric Notebooks.
- Familiarity with CI/CD for Power BI and Fabric.
- Knowledge of Power BI Service administration.
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum environments.
- Certifications: DA-100 (Power BI), PL-300 (Power BI), DP-203 (Azure Data Engineering), DP-600 (Fabric Analyst).
Compensation
The salary range provided in this job posting is intended to reflect the general market value for the position. The actual salary offered may vary based on factors such as the candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and the specific requirements of the role. This range may also be subject to change as market conditions evolve. We encourage open communication throughout the interview process to discuss compensation expectations. For base-salary + commission sales roles, the range represents On-Target Earnings.
