We’re looking for a Lead Front-End Engineer with deep expertise in building modern React applications and a strong commitment to accessibility. You’ll play a key role in shaping user experiences that are not only visually polished and performant, but also inclusive and usable by everyone.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead development of complex, scalable front-end features using React

  • Champion accessibility best practices across the entire front-end stack

  • Translate design systems and UX requirements into high-quality, reusable components

  • Partner closely with designers, product managers, and backend engineers

  • Conduct code reviews and mentor other engineers on front-end and accessibility standards

  • Identify and address performance bottlenecks and usability issues

  • Advocate for inclusive design and influence product decisions with accessibility in mind

  • Contribute to and maintain component libraries and design systems

  • Ensure compliance with accessibility standards (e.g. WCAG)

Required Skills:

Core Technical Skills

  • 8+ years of experience in front-end development

  • Strong expertise in React (hooks, state management, component architecture)

  • Solid understanding of modern JavaScript and TypeScript

  • Experience with CSS architectures (e.g. CSS Modules, styled-components, Tailwind)

  • Familiarity with testing frameworks (e.g. Jest, React Testing Library)

Accessibility Expertise

  • Deep understanding of web accessibility principles and standards (WCAG 2.1+)

  • Hands-on experience building accessible UIs (ARIA roles, semantic HTML, keyboard navigation)

  • Experience using accessibility testing tools (e.g. Axe, screen readers)

  • Ability to identify and remediate accessibility issues in existing applications

  • Strong empathy for users with diverse needs

Engineering & Collaboration

  • Experience designing scalable component systems and front-end architecture

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to cross-functional teams

  • Experience mentoring or leading other engineers

  • Proactive mindset with a focus on quality and continuous improvement

Nice to Have/Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working with design systems at scale

  • Knowledge of performance optimization techniques

  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices

  • Experience with SSR frameworks (e.g. Next.js)

  • Exposure to internationalization (i18n) and localization

  • Experience in regulated industries or accessibility compliance-heavy environments

The salary range provided in this job posting is intended to reflect the general market value for the position. The actual salary offered may vary based on factors such as the candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and the specific requirements of the role. This range may also be subject to change as market conditions evolve. We encourage open communication throughout the interview process to discuss compensation expectations. For base-salary + commission sales roles, the range represents On-Target Earnings.

€75,808.00 - €113,712.00 (EUR)
