We’re looking for a skilled HR Generalist to take full ownership of our HR operations in the Netherlands. In this role, you’ll be a trusted partner to our local team while helping to align and elevate HR practices across our European offices.

Work format:
- Location: Heerenveen, Netherlands (Hybrid — min. 2 days/week in office)
- Schedule: 20 hours/week (e.g., Mon–Thu, 4–5 hours/day, with flexibility)
- Ensure full compliance with Dutch labor laws
- Draft, manage, and update EU employment contracts, EU addendums, and company NL policies, handbooks, ensuring alignment with the law and business needs
- Maintain accurate and GDPR-compliant employee records and documents

- Payroll & Benefits Coordination: Management of the payroll processing in EU locations and local NL benefits
- Recruitment & Onboarding: Prepare contracts and documents for new hires in line with EU law, manage employee paperwork for payroll and benefits, and ensure onboarding compliance.
- Employee Relations & Policy Enforcement: Advise on Dutch labor law and support performance and disciplinary processes.
- Health, Safety & Well-being: Ensure the workplace complies with Dutch health and safety regulations
- Other: Assistance with other HR processes in EU if needed
- 3–5 years of experience in an HR generalist or similar role in NL
- HR Policy & Process Management: Experience of developing, implementing, and improving HR policies and procedures in NL
- Performance Management: Experience supporting performance management according with the local NL law
- Training & Development: Ability to coordinate or deliver internal training programs and support employee growth
- HR Systems & Administration (HRIS): Experience in maintaining accurate HR records and using digital HR systems (as a plus: HiBob); proven experience in working in excel/google sheets at proficient level
- Payroll Coordination: Experience and knowledge in payroll management, cross-checking, and collaborating with payroll providers
- Dutch Employment Law & Compliance knowledge
- Absence & Sick Leave Management: Experience managing leaves as per the local employment law
- Statutory Benefits & Leave Schemes: management of vacation entitlements, leaves
- Communication: Clear and confident communicator in Dutch and English (verbal and written)
- Problem-solving & Decision-making: Ability to handle sensitive HR issues independently and make legally sound decisions
- Organizational Skills: Detail-oriented with strong time and priority management
- Stakeholder Management: Comfortable working with line managers, external vendors, and legal or payroll providers, and other providers if needed
