We’re looking for an energetic, creative and highly organized person to join our team. As Assistant of Communication's, you will be key to the distribution and promotion of new Hal Leonard print and digital titles. In addition, you’ll provide essential copywriting support for the entire range of Muse Group products.
This is an entry-level role with the opportunity to develop a broad range of marketing and related skillsets, including creative copywriting, database administration, data analysis, website maintenance, proofreading, trade show coordination, social media monitoring, and more.

- Enter and edit data (including creating marketing description copy) for new product lines
- Assist with vital marketing admin — including insertion orders, purchase orders, bill processing, promotional material in-house distribution, lobby displays, maintain digital archives, etc.
- Craft engaging, creative copy for the in-house copy team when requested. These requests may cover CRM, socials, UX, in-app, print and digital ad copy.
- Understand and implement brand tone-of-voice across key Muse brands
- Assist with Trade Show administration, including maintaining the show calendar, preparing technology, organising hotels and badges for show attendees, coordinating graphics for show booths and more.
- Assist with PR reporting and administration, including sharing press releases.
- Assist with CRM and email list management
- Coordinate projects and design work for ads, fliers, emails, brochures, and/or catalogs.
- Maintain and coordinate the placement of promo pages in Hal Leonard print titles
- Monitor social media channels to review and respond to comments/DMs
- Produce data reports and summaries to communicate marketing team efforts to other departments
- Take part in marketing ideation sessions to boost creativity in our ads and communications
- Experience working in or alongside a fast-moving marketing team, or has a relevant related degree.
- Experience writing engaging copy in a variety of formats, for a variety of audiences
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Attention-to-detail in terms of copy and other outputs is a must
- A working knowledge and deep love of music is highly recommended
- Experience collaborating with copy or design teams is highly desirable
- Familiarity with CMS systems, Asana, JIRA, and/or Microsoft programs is beneficial.
- Comfort working asynchronously with colleagues in different timezones (EU, UK and US)
- This is a hybrid/remote role, but a location in or nearby the Milwaukee, WI area is preferred to assist with in-person events preparation and admin tasks. Candidates from other countries/locations are nonetheless welcome to apply.
