  • Create, Enhance, and Standardise Metadata: Improve the quality and consistency of our historical newspapers and records.
  • Compliance: Help ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards in content acquisition and usage.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) and familiarity with project management tools and processes.
  • Research Skills: Strong ability to locate and evaluate information from diverse digital and archival sources.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail, especially when creating and standardising data.
  • Organisational Skills: Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to write clear, concise, and accurate content descriptions and assessments.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with partners and colleagues.
  • Problem-Solving: Creative problem-solving skills with the ability to think outside the box and develop innovative solutions.
  • Ethical Standards: High ethical standards and a commitment to maintaining the integrity, quality, and confidentiality of historical records.
  • Knowledge of additional European language(s) — an advantage.
