The Sound Design team is fundamental to Native Instruments’ product portfolio. It is responsible for the creation and maintenance of a steady stream of high quality, inspirational sound content that fuels the creativity of customers  using products like KONTAKT, MASCHINE, OZONE, RX, MASSIVE X, GUITAR RIG, NEKTAR and NEUTRON.

We are looking for a Sound Designer to join the team in Los Angeles, working as part of a wider cross-functional product team located in Berlin, Los Angeles, London and Boston.


What You'll Do

  • Curate and build sound products for the Komplete Instruments and FX portfolio;
  • Support the definition and refinement of product concepts;
  • Oversee in-house projects from start to finish, from recording, to sample editing, to pattern creation and preset design;
  • Source potential partners for product collaboration;
  • Provide guidance and actionable feedback to partners throughout the product creation process;
  • Design and coordinate presets with a group of internal and external sound designers;
  • Create marketing assets including audio demos, descriptions for the website, etc.


What You'll Need

  • You have professional, DAW-based production skills across a wide range of musical genres;
  • You have in-depth knowledge of the NI software and hardware portfolio, particularly Kontakt and KSP;
  • You have a solid network of musicians, studios and producers that you can activate;
  • You have strong organization skills and can work with large quantities of samples, comfortable sample mangling and editing;
  • You are an effective communicator, and project coordinator; comfortable scheduling meetings, providing creative briefs, negotiating deliverables, communicating project requirements, milestones and payment terms;
  • You can play at least one musical instrument
  • Your knowledge and experience recording in a professional studio environment is a plus.
