About The Team
We are looking for a Product Designer to join the Audio Production design team which includes our iZotope and Brainworx product lines. We are responsible for creating designs, prototypes, and gathering user feedback. We share ideas and design feedback as a team while working closely with product managers and developers to bring our designs to life. Our work elevates the audio community with high quality and innovative solutions that often also allow people to get work done faster or do things they thought were impossible. You’re likely to hear your work on award winning music, TV and film productions.
Your Contribution
- Help build award winning audio products for iZotope used by a wide range of people with varying degrees of skill and experience.
- Be embedded on a cross functional team, where you’ll design, collaborate, and explore a variety of ideas to find what resonates with our customers.
- Create UI mockups and prototypes to articulate your ideas and help translate these into working software with the developers on your team.
- Promote and share good design processes and methods while solving unique problems.
- Help facilitate cross functional design feedback and ideation sessions.
- Help drive your design choices with product managers, developers and other stakeholders using storytelling and evidence gathered from user research.
- Help facilitate user research along with your team to understand and empathize with the customer you are designing for.
Our Ideal Candidate
- Experience with figma designing desktop, web or audio software products.
- Empathetic, and have a genuinely curious and collaborative attitude.
- Comfortable or ready to learn many aspects of product design: user research, prototyping, interaction design and UI design.
- Experience collaborating on a team, working with a product manager or developers to make working software.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- Understands the basics of audio and has a passion for the music creator or audio engineering.
- Nice-to-haves: Experience with audio editing, mastering, producing music, or you play an instrument, ability or interest in coding HTML/CSS/JS, experience or knowledge of machine learning and designing with data in mind or experience visualizing data
