About the role

As the Creator Growth Lead at NewsBreak, your primary focus will be on acquiring and recruiting top-tier content creators to join our platform. You will develop and execute strategies to attract and onboard a diverse range of creators who can produce high-quality content in various formats. This role is critical in ensuring that NewsBreak continues to grow its creator base and deliver relevant, engaging content to our users.

Responsibilities

• Develop and Implement Acquisition Strategies: Create and execute strategies to identify, recruit, and onboard top content creators across various formats (articles, short videos, posts).
• Creator Outreach: Conduct targeted outreach to potential creators through various channels, including social media, industry events, and direct contact.
• Onboarding: Design and manage the onboarding process for new creators, ensuring they understand our tools, guidelines, and best practices.
• Market Research: Conduct market research to identify emerging trends and potential creator talent within the local news space.
• Partnerships and Collaborations: Identify and establish partnerships with creator networks, agencies, and other platforms to expand our creator base.
• Performance Metrics: Track and analyze key performance metrics related to creator acquisition and engagement. Provide regular reports and insights to senior management.
• Marketing and Promotion: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop campaigns that attract new creators and promote our platform to a wider audience.
• Events and Networking: Represent NewsBreak at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to build relationships and recruit new creators.

Requirements

• Experience: 3-5 years of experience in creator acquisition, influencer marketing, talent recruitment, or a related field, preferably within the digital media or tech industry.
• Skills: Strong understanding of content creation across various formats (written, video, social media). Excellent communication, organizational, and networking skills.
• Knowledge: Familiarity with AI and ML applications in content personalization and distribution is a plus.
• Personality: Passionate about local news and content creation. Proactive, creative, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus.
