Purpose of Role

As the Senior Finance Operations Manager (FO), you will lead the Finance Operations team to provide directions, financial expertise, and leadership to drive the performance of the FO team and ensure compliance with nShift’s financial requirements and accounting standards.

For this role it is important to maintain good relationships with our customers and vendors. You work closely with other functions in Finance as well as with other teams in the organisation.

Responsible for the finance operations team, your key objectives are to direct the team to meet their deliverables timely and accurately and to continuously challenge and improve overall process. The finance operations are largely responsible for (but not limit to) Procurement to Pay, Payroll, bank reconciliations, cash allocations and other month end related transactions and tasks. You are to implement financial strategies for the group and are partners to colleagues across the whole organisation.

To be successful in this role, you are a strong leader, have attention to detail and deliver your work timely and accurately. You have experience in leading a finance operations in a multinational business, solid knowledge with ERP, excellent collaborator and communicator. You work well under pressure and capable of meeting conflicting deadlines through effective time management and prioritisation.

The area of responsibilities include:

  • Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and plans aligned with the organization's goals, objectives, and vision.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the FO team and continue to drive improvement through standardization, simplification and automation.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of Cash, Accounts Payable and Payroll, and related tasks and reconciliations at month end.
  • Assist other Finance teams with audits and other compliance related tasks.
  • Stay updated on regulatory changes affecting the organization’s financial operations and performance.
  • Forster a culture of accountability, transparency and continues improvement within the team, promoting teamwork, professional development and excellence in performance.

Requirements (competencies and experience):

  • A proven leader with track record of delivering improvements in finance operations.
  • Solid knowledge of ERP systems (NetSuite is a plus)
  • Fluency in English both oral and written is a must.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or relevant field is preferred.
  • An effective operator, service-minded, well organized and have a positive can-do attitude.
  • Analytical minded with great attention to detail and the ability to focus and meet multiple-deliverables in deadlines.
  • Team player with excellent collaboration and communication skills.
