Job Title: Firmware Engineer

Location: Taiwan office

Workplace Type: Hybrid

JOB SUMMARY

We are searching for a mid-level Firmware engineer to join our hardware engineering team based on Taiwan office. You will lead and deliver the analysis, design, programming, debugging, troubleshooting or modification of software for any firmware application. You will also work closely with other team to ensure products releases are streamlined and stable, which means you need to help on solving firmware issue and answer questions related to firmware. A successful candidate will be self-motivated, have strong coding skills, excellent problem-solving and ability to have a good communication skill.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop Firmware for keyboards, mice or other computer accessories
  • Partner with a cross functional team of experts in Electrical Engineering, Tracking Technologies, Optical, etc.
  • Integrate 3rd party components into our design
  • Partner with SW experts for interface design, implementation and integration
  • Validate your work, write production code, and automated tests
  • Clarify and address the root cause related to firmware.
  • Participate in product/system level architecture planning, review and collaborate with cross-functional teams

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years in a firmware engineering role within product development.
  • Fluent in embedded firmware in C/C++ including test and de-bug.
  • Experiences in 8051 and ARM Cortex-M series MCU firmware development.
  • Practically minded with strong problem-solving skills
  • Self-driven and autonomous
  • Strong technical documentation skills

Additionally, preferred skills and behaviors include:

  • Experience with version control tools, such as Git
  • Experience in Bluetooth and bidirectional RF Human Interface Device (HID) firmware development
  • Proficiency in Python, C#, and other application programming languages
