Job Summary Collaborates with the marketing team to develop innovative programs that drive demand. Tracks campaign performance and collects and analyzes data to identify what’s working and what isn’t. Collaborates with product managers, sales channels, and go-to-market (GTM) stakeholders to get buy-in and ensure alignment across the GTM process. Key Responsibilities Identifies, secures, and maintains market intelligence on OEC’s buyers including how they buy and their key buying criteria.Understands the competitive landscape and serves as the internal Subject Matter Expert (SME) on OEC’s competition and how they are positioned.Collaborates with product management and marketing communications to develop product positioning and messaging that resonate with target buyer personas.Understands and documents the buyer’s process, including where they get information, and the who, what, when, and why behind the decisions they make. Drives changes to the sales and marketing processes based on all considerations.Develops a marketing plan for assigned products, and in conjunction with the marketing team, including key activities and budgets to support the retention of existing customers and the acquisition of new customers.Assesses the effectiveness of the marketing programs that support assigned products on an ongoing basis, and reports back to the business on required changes.Plans the launches of net-new products, and releases of existing products, and manages the cross-functional implementation of the plan.Acts as the primary thought leader for the products supported externally, including speaking engagements and written works.Understands and support OEC’s sales channels; train individuals on the problems OEC solves for our buyers and users; develops internal tools and external collateral, and teach team members how and when to use them. Education A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required, with a focus in Marketing, Business, or related discipline. In the absence of a degree, equivalent work experience directly related to the key responsibilities of the role will be considered as a substitute for the degree. Experience At least 5 years of product marketing experience with at least 2 of those years in a market-facing role (e.g. delivering presentations to customers and prospects, conducting competitor analysis and market research), along with proven success using return-on-investment (ROI) tracking to prove what is or isn’t working, and a background using a variety of productivity and collaboration applications/tools. Must also be able to demonstrate the following skills and abilities: Demonstrable experience in a product marketing role specifically driving and generating product demand within the customer market. Attention to detail and an eye for quality. Ability to grasp and present a product’s value proposition in a way that resonates with a buyer. Familiar with tools such as HubSpot, Wrike, Excel, and Power BI. Engaging presentation skills with the ability to effectively speak to and interact with various sizes/types of audiences in a professional and easy-to-understand manner (including large senior groups). Excellent business and creative writing skills. Exceptional interpersonal skills, and can build collaborative partnerships across multiple levels of stakeholders including internal team members and third parties. Travel Occasional travel for this role is required to attend trade shows and industry events, with travel estimated to be 10% of work time.
