Summary

As a Java Web Developer, you will join our remote team at Office Ally, a healthcare technology firm, to enhance and maintain our web applications, including MAPS, TRACKer, and EASY, which streamline processes for healthcare providers. Using Java, Java Servlets, JSP, JavaScript, and SQL, the incumbent will directly support the development needs of Office Ally.

Job Duties

  • Develop, test, and deploy new features for web applications using Java, Java Servlets, JSP, and JavaScript.
  • Perform maintenance and enhancements on existing web applications to improve functionality and user experience.
  • Utilize SQL to manage and manipulate database information required by the applications.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to maintain a high level of expertise in J2EE and related technologies.
  • Document software development processes, code changes, and enhancements thoroughly.
  • Utilize version control systems, such as GIT, for source code management and collaboration.
  • Develop software builds and manage deployments according to configuration management (CM) processes.
  • Identify and fix bugs and performance bottlenecks to ensure optimal application performance.
  • Design and implement user interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks.
  • Implement and integrate RESTful web services and APIs to enhance application capabilities.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Works collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in development with Java.
  • Proficiency in Java, Java Servlets, JSP, and JavaScript
  • Familiarity with GIT or other source management tool.
  • Understanding of SQL language
  • Experience with Object Oriented design and programming.

Preferred

  • Experience with XML, ANT, and web services preferred.
  • Knowledge of RESTful web services and API integration preferred.
  • Proficiency with SQL and JDBC preferred.
  • Experience with Java Application server preferred.

Education & Experience

High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree in CompSci, Software Engineering, or related degree required. 1-2 years of work experience with Java development. Additional experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
