Summary

The HR Co-Op plays a pivotal role in supporting the Human Resources team in various administrative tasks and projects. This role offers a comprehensive introduction to HR operations, providing hands-on experience in recruitment, employee relations, training, and other core HR functions. The intern will assist in maintaining personnel records, coordinating recruitment efforts, contributing to HR policies, and participating in diverse projects aimed at enhancing the employee experience.

Essential Duties

  1. Assisting in the recruitment process by sourcing candidates, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and coordinating communication between applicants and hiring managers.
  2. Providing administrative support by maintaining HR records, organizing employee files, updating databases, and handling documentation related to onboarding, offboarding, and personnel changes.
  3. Contributing to HR projects focused on improving processes, enhancing employee engagement, or implementing new HR initiatives.

Job Duties

  • Assists in the recruitment process by sourcing candidates, reviewing resumes, conducting initial screenings, and coordinating interview schedules.
  • Supports the onboarding process by preparing new hire materials, assisting with orientation sessions, and ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed accurately.
  • Updates and maintains employee records and databases, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
  • Assists in generating HR reports, compiling data, and conducting basic analysis to support decision-making processes within the HR department.
  • Participates in various HR projects, such as employee engagement surveys or process improvements.
  • Provides general administrative assistance to the HR team, including scheduling meetings, managing correspondence, and organizing HR-related events or activities.
  • Works to Gain familiarity with HR software and systems by assisting in data entry, running system reports, and troubleshooting basic user issues.
  • Assists in drafting internal communications or announcements related to HR policies, events, or updates.
  • Maintains punctual, regular, and predictable attendance.
  • Works collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience
High School Diploma or GED required. Applicants must be actively pursuing a 4-year degree in Human Resources, Business Admin, Business management, or related field.
