Description

About Us

At Office Ally, we’ve been revolutionizing healthcare administration since our inception. What started as a clearinghouse focused on simplifying insurance claims processing for healthcare providers has grown into a full-suite healthcare technology company. We offer a range of affordable, cloud-based solutions, from practice management to electronic health records (EHR), helping providers streamline their operations and reduce administrative burdens. With our freemium model, we provide free practice management software and cost-effective EHR solutions, allowing providers—whether solo practitioners or large groups—to focus on what matters most: patient care.

At the core of our company are four key values that guide our mission and work:

  • Ownership: We take pride in our responsibilities, driving results and taking accountability for the success of our projects.

  • Empowerment: We believe in giving our team the autonomy and support to make decisions that lead to innovative solutions.

  • Innovation: We continuously seek new and better ways to improve healthcare administration, embracing creativity and forward-thinking technology.

  • Transparent Communication: Open, honest communication is at the heart of our collaborations—internally and with our clients—ensuring alignment and trust.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team. This role is perfect for quality assurance professionals seeking to advance their careers and become key contributors to a high-performing team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive test strategies for healthcare clearinghouse applications, including X12 EDI transactions, web-based applications, partner portals, and various healthcare processing systems, while also conducting extensive front-end UI testing, manual testing procedures, and robotic process automation (RPA) validation. You’ll use modern automated testing practices and hands-on user interface testing to ensure platform reliability, user experience quality, regression coverage, and system confidence across all applications. You’ll focus on building scalable test automation frameworks, conducting thorough manual testing scenarios, and validating RPA workflows while maintaining broad knowledge of healthcare applications.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and maintain automated test suites for healthcare applications, including EDI transactions, web applications, and partner systems using modern frameworks and CI/CD integration, while conducting comprehensive manual testing of user interfaces and front-end applications.

  • Build comprehensive test cases covering application functionality, data validation, business rule compliance, and extensive UI/UX testing scenarios, including RPA workflow validation across multiple healthcare systems.

  • Document risks and defects in accordance with company and department standards while providing actionable feedback to development teams on backend processing, front-end user experience, and application integration issues.

  • Generate test plans, scenarios, scripts, and automated procedures for healthcare applications, including EDI transaction validation, web application testing, and partner system integration.

  • Execute test plans in Quality Assurance using both automated testing approaches and extensive manual testing methodologies for UI components, user workflows, and system interactions.

  • Design, create, and execute automated tests using frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, and Ranorex for UI and integration testing, with emphasis on front-end user experience validation.

  • Conduct comprehensive manual testing of web applications, user interfaces, and front-of-house systems, including usability testing, accessibility validation, and user journey verification.

  • Build and maintain reusable test automation components for EDI transaction workflows and front-end application testing scenarios using tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Ranorex Studio, and custom automation frameworks.

  • Develop and execute RPA (Robotic Process Automation) testing scenarios to validate automated workflows, business process automation, and robotic task execution.

  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous deployment practices for both backend EDI processing and front-end applications.

Qualifications

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 2+ years of software testing experience with a focus on automated testing, manual testing, and UI/front-end testing

  • 1+ years of experience with healthcare application testing, including EDI transaction knowledge.

  • Deep understanding of RPA testing, manual testing methodologies, and front-end application testing.
