What you will do:

• You will configure, maintain, and optimize web servers and load balancers
• You will ensure the high availability of our applications, databases and services
• You will introduce new tools and services to optimize and scale our current infrastructure
• You will be part of the ongoing cloud migration to bring the existing data center into a multi-region cloud environment
• You will monitor our IT systems to make sure our services run smoothly
• You will maintain and service our network and firewall components

To be successful:

• You have solid skills in managing Linux systems, e.g. Debian/RedHat
• 1+ years' of work experience in a similar role
• Managing a fleet of servers with Terraform, Ansible or Puppet is a walk in the park for you
• It is important to you that all systems run smoothly. For this, you keep an eye on everything while using Icinga2, Grafana, ELK/Splunk or AppDynamics
• You are familiar with data storage by using technologies such as S3, Ceph or databases such as PostgreSQL
• You have in general a good understanding of running highly available services, web apps and internal tools using HAProxy, Keepalived or similar tools
• You have a good understanding of virtualization, networking, operating systems and application hosting as well as maintenance
• You are a team player and enjoy building connections within a multicultural and dynamic team
• You are fluent in English to communicate with our colleagues and stakeholder, additional languages like German are a plus
