What to expect:

  • Carry out risk-based due diligence of new clients and business partners during the on-boarding process in accordance with external and internal policies relating to anti-money-laundering regulations and the financing of terrorism acts
  • Handle PeP/sanctions queries and verification of results
  • Perform risk calculations and monitor the current Risk profile of newly applying merchants
  • Recommend reserves on new merchant applications
  • Take appropriate action to prevent merchant losses
  • Approve merchant payment processing options in line with credit policy
  • Acts as a contact person for merchant facing teams (Group’s Sales, New Business, Account management teams) as well as working closely with the internal Operations Department, who are responsible for merchants on-boarding, and the international Risk and Compliance Teams
  • Advise on Paysafe business initiatives where necessary to advise on Payment Scheme Rules and ensure business adherence to Payment Scheme rule and regulations
  • Carry out standardized control measures as well as assisting with the preparation of regular reports
  • Participate in internal projects concerning product development and new markets
  • Pro-actively assist in the development of existing systems and guidelines

To be successful you need to have:

  • Fluent English; Spanish language would be considered as an advantage
  • Bachelors’ Degree or equivalent from an accredited college with emphasis in business and/or finance
  • 2 or more years Acquiring / Bankcard underwriting required or a combination of relevant experience in general Underwriting plus Acquiring / Bankcard underwriting
  • Knowledge of high-risk verticals such as crypto, iGaming, FX and investments would be preferable.
  • Strong experience and understanding of credit reports, MATCH, exposure methodology, and KYC
  • Ability to analyze complex financial statements, tax returns and bank statements
  • Thorough and able to handle responsibility, stress, and authority appropriately
  • Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills
  • Multi-task in fast-paced work environment
