We are looking for a Value Stream Architect to enable our Product Development organization to work effectively and deliver value. As a Value Stream Architect, you will play a key role in designing and optimizing our value streams to maximize efficiency, quality, and customer value. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and leadership to analyze current value streams, identify improvement opportunities, and design future state value stream architectures that align with our strategic objectives.
What to expect:
- Lead the analysis and mapping of current state value streams, identifying bottlenecks, waste, and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define future state value stream architectures that align with business goals and objectives.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize value streams, including process redesign, automation, and organizational changes.
- Design and implement key performance metrics and KPIs (key performance indicators) to measure the effectiveness of value stream improvements.
- Provide guidance and support to cross-functional teams in implementing value stream improvements, including training, coaching, and mentoring.
- Facilitate workshops and collaborative sessions to drive alignment and consensus on value stream architecture and improvement initiatives.
- Monitor and track the progress of value stream improvement initiatives, identifying risks and issues and implementing mitigation strategies as needed.
- Stay current with industry best practices and emerging trends in value stream management and continuous improvement and apply them to drive innovation and excellence in value stream architecture.
- Work closely with Product Management, Product Owners, and other stakeholders to prioritize and manage the backlog, ensuring that the most valuable features and initiatives are delivered.
- Identify and address risks, impediments, and dependencies that may impact the successful delivery of the Value Stream, working collaboratively with teams to mitigate and resolve issues.
- Provide guidance and support to Agile teams in adopting Agile and Lean practices, promoting a culture of experimentation, learning, and adaptation.
- Monitor and track key performance metrics and KPIs to assess the health and performance of the ART, identifying areas for improvement and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Design, facilitate or ensure larger group sessions on area and business unit level happen efficiently – e.g.:
- Design sprints; roadmap ideation workshops; product roadmap refinement
- Area process and interactions improvement sessions; area product reviews/demos
- Work with the organization to:
- Ensures goals are aligned across roles and departments on an area level and business unit level
- Provide input to organizational design and structure changes to ensure culture follows structure
- Align and collaborate with peers to spread effective ways of working across our mission, vision, and company values
To be successful you need to:
- Have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- Be Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification required; SAFe® certification (SAFe® RTE, SAFe® SPC) preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Agile software development, with at least 4 years of experience serving as a Scrum Master, Agile Coach, or RTE.
- Deep understanding of Agile principles and practices, with experience implementing Agile frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe®.
- Strong facilitation, coaching, and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams and drive organizational change.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Proven record of accomplishment of delivering complex projects or programs in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address issues proactively and drive continuous improvement.
