How we work:

Our preferred arrangement is for the job holder to follow a hybrid model, spending an average of three days per week at our office location. The office is located in Gresham Street next to St Paul’s cathedral with easy access and transport links via St Paul’s, Bank, Cannon Street, City Thameslink, Liverpool Street, Farringdon, Mansion House.

The impact you will have:

  • Assisting Tax Director on quarterly and annual tax reporting under USGAAP with candidate taking ownership of tax reporting for UK group companies.
  • Ownership of UK Corporate Tax Compliance including returns, claims and elections and CFC analysis.
  • Manage HMRC correspondence and managing tax audits and enquiries.
  • Assisting on annual Senior Accounting Officer (SAO) requirements, ensuring appropriate documentation and evidence
  • Keep abreast of administrative and legislative changes to ensure continued Group compliance standard.
  • Manage external advisors to obtain the best advice with maximum efficiency.
  • Understand, maintain, and improve tax efficiency together with Tax Director and Head of Tax.

What we’re looking for:

  • 2+ years post-qualified experience, preferably with in-house experience
  • Strong technical knowledge of UK corporate tax and tax accounting (preferably USGAAP), with desire to expand experience and understanding of international tax.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Self-motivated, demonstrating true ownership and delivering results in a professional and timely manner
  • Strong attention to detail and self-review
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
  • Team player able to successfully work closely with various finance functions and networks across geographies and commercial disciplines.
