What you will do:
- Complete time sensitive tasks impacting our clients
- Work with colleagues from non-technical departments to identify and resolve bugs in our software
- Proactively provide status by updating the tickets
- Provide high-quality solutions that work from the first time
- Provide ongoing support and maintenance to the company’s software products:
- Maintain SQL processes and database related applications
- Write stored procedures and database views to simplify data access
- Maintain and debug our software products and websites
- Troubleshoot and analyze code in MSSQL, Oracle, ASP classic, ASP.Net and JQuery, Java
To be successful you need to have:
- 3+ years’ experience servicing clients
- Experience writing, modifying and troubleshooting stored procedures in MS SQL databases
- Microsoft SQL, SSIS, RDBMS and their specific tools: SQL, Transact SQL, Enterprise manager, Query Analyser
- Microsoft Visual Studio, Git, Bitbucket
- Advanced debugging skills
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Able to work independently as well as in a team
- Able to manage shifting priorities
- Able to learn quickly
- Excellent work ethic - willing to go above and beyond to get the job done
- Strong written and verbal communication skills (English)
- Excellent time management skills
- Proactive, detail oriented
Preferred Technical Skills:
- Good knowledge of MSSQL code and design best practices and database optimization
- Knowledge working with Microsoft technology stack likes ASP.NET, C#
- Knowledge working with web services and APIs
- Solid understanding of CSS, HTML, XHTML, XML, Javascript, AJAX and JSON
- An understanding of Web Development standards and Best Practices including W3C standards compliance and issues related to cross-browser/cross-platform compatibility
- Basic knowledge of IIS
- Basic knowledge of network services and communication protocols (TCP/IP, FTP, Telnet, SSH, SMTP, HTTP, HTTPS, SSL)
- Code optimization skills, for database and web
