The Senior Product Manager for Merchant Onboarding will be a key asset to build the product vision and delivery of best-in-class merchant onboarding experiences. We are under a huge transformational and consolidation project where we aim at creating the best onboarding tool in the industry. We board merchants directly and through our ISV & ISO partners. The key focus is to help create simple onboarding experiences which will allow our merchants and partners to take advantage of our global card processing, wallets, and other payment product capabilities. Working very closely with other product managers for the Developer Center and business portal, Enterprise delivery teams, this individual will be responsible for streamlining and delivering a quick, smooth, and compliant set of tools for boarding merchants to the Paysafe platform and leverage its full capability. Given that we operate in several geographies in the world, it has to be mentioned that the onboarding capability should be available in different flavors to all our business lines and geographies.

How we work:

Our preferred arrangement is for the job holder to follow a hybrid model, spending an average of three days per week at our office location. The office is located in Gresham Street next to St Paul’s cathedral with easy access and transport links via St Paul’s, Bank, Cannon Street, City Thameslink, Liverpool Street, Farringdon, Mansion House.

The impact you will have:

  • Own our Onboarding experiences for Merchants and leading modernization expansion plans.
  • Lead our growth initiatives focused on opening new ways to onboard.
  • Focused on automating the end-to-end experience for different products and geographies.
  • Working with Direct Merchants, ISVs, ISOs, Resellers and Referrals to understand needs.
  • Deeply understand the needs of current and target merchants and partners through quantitative and qualitative customer research
  • You develop a deep understanding of merchant pain points to apply for merchant accounts to process card, direct debit, and alternate payment methods
  • Work with product leaders and stakeholders to understand the needs of merchants across all Paysafe merchant acquiring channels and geographies
  • Attention to Detail & focus on results is paramount. You need to be the voice of the merchant in every conversation
  • Work with other product managers, technical writers, and integrations teams to create the API reference documentation, client libraries, and integration support documentation
  • Manage products at different stages of their life cycle and develop strategic roadmaps for them with a focus on consolidation and improving merchant boarding and integration experience
  • Work with Infosec, privacy, risk, legal & compliance teams to make sure that our products are secure and compliant

What we’re looking for:

  • 6+ years of overall work experience, with a min of 3+ years in product management and preferably in payments/online space.
  • You have a deep understanding of merchant onboarding experiences, and you want to redefine those tools and challenge the status quo.
  • Technically astute and well versed in concepts such as APIs, SDKs, microservice architecture, etc.
  • Strong understanding of merchant and payment service provider needs to support different segments of consumers and merchants
  • You rely on influence and not on position power. You'll collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Compliance, Risk, Operations, and Finance teams
  • Prior work experience dealing with payment gateways, building checkout products, and javascript development kits.
  • You have a great sense of design, user experience, and usability.
  • You have a track record of building products and services that serve a large customer base
  • Prior experience working in a diverse, multicultural and global company is an added advantage and driving transformation via a global roadmap
  • You are comfortable communicating with business stakeholders, Engineering, Design/UX, and Analytics teams verbal and written communication skills and capacity for articulation.
  • Decent technical knowledge and skill to speak authoritatively on the technical aspects of payment method integrations.
  • Engineers with a business background or a business degree are preferred.
