How we work:

We have exciting new offices currently under construction which we are aiming to be ready for use in the new year. In the meantime, all employees are using our temporary SOBO works office space in the heart of Dublin. Our preference is for the job holder to follow our hybrid model of 1 day per week at this office.

Following the opening of the permanent space, this model will change to 3 days a week on average per week.

The impact you will have:

  • Coordinating the end-to-end annual internal assessment of 1st Line of Defence (1LOD) and Group Compliance and Risk (2LOD) compliance with defined AML & Financial Crime control principles within Ireland (PPSL1 & 2) and the EEA. Including engagement with senior-level staff within the organisation
  • Reviewing control compliance evidence and assess for gaps and risks.
  • Organising compliance remediation works and agree timelines with the 1LOD and 2 LOD.
  • Assisting in the planning and conducting of EEA related AML/CTF Risk Assessments.
  • Liaising with Enterprise Risk Management team and other stakeholders within the business and coordinate the upload of data to systems as required.
  • Generating reports on completed assessments for senior leadership.
  • Acting as the POC for the MLRO and lead the 2LOD (Compliance) due diligence assessments support (with Group Compliance) of third parties, including the requests for information, assessment of control compliance and remediation as required.
  • Directly supporting the VP Compliance / MLRO EEA, with high-risk or priority tasks related to AML & Financial Crime compliance.
  • Acting as the POC for the MLRO and support the collation of KPI and other data required for Central Bank of Ireland (CBI) regulatory, SLT and Board Reporting
  • Participation in internal projects concerning product and project development.
  • Managing FSPO Complaint responses.
  • Aiding in the development of necessary AML & Financial Crime proactive and reactive tasks as required.
  • Responsible for the drafting of relevant reports for Boards, Risk Committees, etc as required.

What we’re looking for:

  • Relevant degree or 5 years’ experience in AML & Financial Crime compliance. (The role holder must meet the minimum standards for approval and to hold a Central Bank of Ireland Control Function (CF2) position.)
  • Strong understanding of AML & Financial Crime risks and controls
  • Understanding of the regulatory requirements from the Central Bank of Ireland, as they apply to AML and Financial Crime
  • Superior communication skills, business acumen and presentation skills
  • Computer literacy and strong Internet knowledge (Internet, e-mail, MS OFFICE, OS Windows)
  • Other requirements: Foreign language: English
  • Personal virtues: Attention to Detail, business acumen, driven and success
