What to expect:

  • Support the preparation and delivery of annual statutory accounts for multiple subsidiary legal entities, ensuring accuracy, completeness, in compliance with relevant accounting standards and adherence to applicable local company law requirements.

  • Collaborate with business units, cross-functional teams and external auditors to gather required information for the preparation of statutory accounts.

  • Assist in the review and challenge process of annual accounts prior to delivery to external auditors, ensuring quality and compliance with regulatory standards, and facilitating resolution of review comments and finalization procedures.

  • Ensure proficiency in the financial reporting tool (Workiva) and provide training or knowledge transfer to new users and team members.

  • Document the process and controls over the financial reporting process using the Workiva tool, including documentation of key and judgmental financial reporting treatments in line with relevant accounting and reporting standards.

  • Provide support to the line manager and team in maintaining and monitoring subsidiary statutory reporting requirements, including tracking, monitoring , and communication of status.

  • Assist in the preparation and submission of various non-statutory reporting (statistics and surveys) in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with reporting deadlines.

  • Contribute to process improvements and efficiencies in financial reporting processes, including the implementation of best practices and automation where possible.

  • Stay updated on regulatory changes and developments affecting financial reporting requirements, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and regulations.

  • Assist in ad-hoc financial reporting projects and tasks as assigned by the line manager or senior management from time to time

Your profile:

  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in statutory financial reporting

  • Familiarity with relevant local legal and regulatory frameworks (UK Companies Act, Irish Companies Act, and Bulgarian statutory requirements)

  • Working knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP principles

  • ACCA, CPA or other relevant qualifications (qualified or actively pursuing certification)

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; experience with Workiva is a plus

  • Strong command of English (written and spoken); with the ability to draft clear, accurate and professional financial disclosures and documentation

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional and global teams and engage with internal and external stakeholders

  • Naturally curious, proactive and willing to learn - particularly around regulatory and technical accounting topics that may require self-led research and continuous development
