Senior Business Development Director
Summary
Paysafe is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Business Development Director to lead our strategic initiatives in the Global Platforms space. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the digital wallets, embedded finance platforms, marketplaces, vertical SaaS platforms, NeoBanks among other platforms with a proven track record of aligning with business growth initiatives and forming strategic partnerships.
Responsibilities
- Identify and Pursue Opportunities: Identify new business opportunities that bring all of Paysafe offerings to life with Global Platforms Partnerships. Our solutions include, but not limited to, Digital Wallets, Global Payment Processing and Cash Digitization solutions
- Strategic Partnerships: Establish and maintain relationships with key industry stakeholders, including fintechs, platforms, financial institutions, technology partners and brands with a large consumer base
- Market Research: Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape.
- Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, sales, and product teams to align business development strategies and ensure cohesive execution.
- Deal Negotiation: Negotiate and close partnership deals with potential clients and partners.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor and analyze the performance of business development initiatives and adjust strategies as needed.
- Representation: Represent the company at industry events and conferences to promote our brand and expand our network.
- Compliance: Work with legal and compliance teams to ensure all partnerships adhere to regulatory requirements.
- Update the CRM system to track leads and identify solid business opportunities.
- Attend industry events and networking conferences.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in related field such as Business Administration, Finance, or related field; or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree, required.
- 8+ years experience in business development, partnerships or strategic alliances within the technology, payments or fintech sectors, required; platform partnerships, preferred.
- Commercial experience working within payments, digital wallets, financial services, marketplaces and SaaS platforms.
- A born networker with high energy, self-starter with a proven commercial and organizational strength, entrepreneurial track record and strong negotiation skills.
- A strategic thinker with excellent project management skills and the ability to lead and manage time-sensitive, cross-functional initiatives in a fast-paced, highly entrepreneurial environment with little supervision.
- A natural communicator and team player, comfortable driving technical and commercial discussions.
- A problem solver, naturally curious and comfortable navigating ambiguity to find solutions for technical, commercial, and operational challenges.
- A cross functional project manager of commercial, operational, and technical projects.
- Have a hands-on mentality being able to set the path for your platform merchants and their onboarding, payment, payout and reporting setup, at the same time make smart decisions on prioritization and delegation while looking at short- and long term planning.
