The Group Consolidation Manager is responsible for managing the consolidation process for a large multi-currency group, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with SOX and other regulatory requirements. This role drives process improvements and supports key stakeholders across the finance organization.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Consolidation & Reporting

  • Own and manage consolidation of the multi-currency group, including review and posting of journals.
  • Perform and review reconciliations of balance sheet and income statement line items with detailed analytics.
  • Drive month-end close in line with Group timetable and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Assist with preparation and review of Group financial reporting packages for quarterly and annual results, including disclosures.

Compliance & Controls

  • Ensure all work is SOX compliant and maintain multiple SOX controls within the consolidation environment.
  • Liaise with external auditors for quarterly and year-end Group financial statements.

Systems & Administration

  • Administer the Group consolidation tool: manage chart of accounts changes, approve user access, and maintain group structure.
  • Lead ERP-related projects and other ad hoc initiatives to improve processes.

Team Leadership

  • Supervise and support consolidation team members.
  • Provide guidance and support to divisional financial controllers and the wider finance team.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Work closely with Treasury, Management Reporting, SEC Reporting, Finance Systems, and Tax teams to coordinate activities and resolve issues.

Skills & Experience

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, ACMA or equivalent) with strong academic background.
  • Minimum 4+ years’ experience in large multi-currency group consolidation.
  • Detailed understanding of foreign currency translation and complex consolidation adjustments.
  • Previous listed company experience and SOX compliance knowledge desirable.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and ERP systems experience.
