Position Summary:
Engineering Manager at Perforce is searching for a Software Engineer to join their team. The Software Engineer at Perforce will be responsible for developing and implementing software solutions while collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and ensure the delivery of high-quality products. This individual will have the opportunity to contribute on broader team projects and learn from senior team members and technical leaders.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance software with guidance from senior team members.
  • Write clean, efficient, and reusable code following industry best practices.
  • Conduct thorough testing, debugging, and performance optimization.
  • Work as part of a team to solve diverse problems
  • Analyse and improve performance, scalability and stability of product, environments, and tools.
  • Continuously learn and evaluate new technologies
  • May be required to support additional products/brands as needed.
  • Work independently over the course of a sprint or more.
  • Accountable to the team for delivery schedules and commitments for associate engineers under mentorship.
  • Prioritize and lead effort with other engineers for support escalations as and when they arrive, showing initiative to realign time management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science (or equivalent)
  • 2+ years of experience in developing and maintaining software applications in a collaborative team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to quickly understand and address complex technical challenges.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively work within a cross-functional team.
  • Experience or interest in DevOps
  • Cloud platforms (GCP, Azure, AWS)

Desirable:

  • Experience of programming languages such as Go, Ruby, Python, etc.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines
  • Skilled in test automation
  • Fundamental knowledge of databases such as PostgresSQL
