Inbound Supervisor (Day Shift)
Our Inbound Supervisor has the responsibility for assisting the Manager in ensuring the Inbound Operations are managed as accurately and as efficiently as possible to keep up with customer demands and growth of the business. You will lead by example and ensure all tasks are performed to the highest standards.
As the Supervisor you will coach and mentor team members, helping them operate efficiently, safely and to targets. Compliance with all WHS policies and ensuring we provide a safe place to work for employees is our highest priority. You will also maintain an engaged workforce through contributing to our psychologically safe environment where all team members can share and implement ideas of continuous improvement.
You will be supervising our PM Inbound team which will require you onsite at Crestmead QLD 4132 between either 9am and 5pm or 10am and 6pm.
Your Responsibilities
• Lead a team of receiving and putaway staff to achieve daily business requirements.
• Raise and address any issues with equipment, staffing or stock with the Inbound Manager / Operations Manager immediately as to not affect customer service levels.
• Plan and assign work to all team members
• Communicate relevant information to other department managers about order status, special orders, discounts, trial products, and shipping errors
• Improve operational efficiency
• Ensure all paperwork and administrative requirements are adhered to with high levels of accuracy
• Train employees in the value of adhering to company policies, procedures and standards, and strengthen their dedication to following these guidelines
• Maintain a relationship with suppliers
• Monitor arrival times of all inbound stock to meet the business requirements
• Review KPIs and coach/mentor team members to improve their performance
• Maintain a safe working environment
• Update of SOPs as required with the QA Manager
• Utilise data to continually improve processes
• Providing support and training to fulfilment employees on quality and safety related issues
• Identify, create, replace, refine and clearly document all processes
• Form strong working relationships with other areas of the business with a focus on category, planning and technical
• Maintain the fulfilment centre with the highest level of commitment to good housekeeping
About You
• Experience in a similar role at Team Leader or Supervisor level in a fast-paced warehouse environment (ideally B2C or eCommerce/retail)
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with individuals and in cross-functional teams
• The ability to keep your finger on the pulse by supervising your team over a large work space, and always monitoring team's performance
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Safety focused with general knowledge of WHS policies and procedures
• High attention to detail and confidence to execute decisions
• Can do attitude, reliability, commitment and a strong work ethic
• Forklift License desirable
Role Location
This role will be based onsite 5 days per week at our pet friendly Crestmead fulfilment centre.
