Job Summary

The Senior Accountant will work directly with the Corporate Controller and is responsible for assisting various accounting and financial tasks to support day-to-day financial operations including reconciling accounts, preparing accounts payable and other financial reports, assisting with global audit processes, and contributing to the overall financial accuracy of the Company’s reporting structure. The position will provide an opportunity to join a successful, rapidly-growing software company that partners with one of the world’s leading private equity firms – Genstar Capital.

Responsibilities

Participate in the day-to-day operations of the finance department including but not limited to:

  • General Ledger: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial transactions
  • Accounts Payables: Process vendor invoices, payments, and receipts, and reconcile accounts payable accounts setting up bank wires and ACH payments
  • Bank Reconciliation: Review international bank reconciliations to internal records, investigating and resolving discrepancies
  • Expense Management: Monitor and track expenses ensuring compliance and reconciliation with Company accounts
  • Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
  • Month-End and Year-End Close: Participate in the month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparing journal entries, accruals, and adjustments
  • Audit Support: Collaborate with auditors during both domestic and international annual audits, providing documentation and explanations as required
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with applicable accounting regulations, internal controls, and company policies
  • Become an expert on the company’s systems (Intacct, OpenAir, Salesforce) and champion process improvements
  • Supporting tax & audit compliance by compiling and preparing information as requested
  • Assisting with other critical projects as needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related discipline required
  • CPA license preferred
  • 5-7+ Years progressive experience in corporate or public accounting (prior public audit experience preferred)
  • General knowledge of US GAAP
  • Multi-entity and/or international exposure preferred
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently while meeting deadlines
  • Proficient in using accounting software (Sage Intacct a plus) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
