Job Summary

The Global Controller is responsible for general and international accounting, budgeting, financial analysis, and cash management.

Responsibilities

• Manage a global accounting staff spanning North America, Europe, and Asia whose activities including the monthly close processes, general accounting, revenue, accounts payable, intercompany transactions, payroll & internal controls
• Recommend and implement process improvements that will enhance efficiency and internal controls of the company
• Ensure process and people are in place to deliver timely and accurate monthly financial statements
• Lead accounting team in the development, implementation and oversight of global company-wide accounting policies and controls consistent with US GAAP and international accounting standards
• Manage relationship and reporting matters with audit firms and interface effectively with external and internal resources to resolve complex accounting and tax related items
• Assist the revenue team in maintaining ASC 606 accounting standards
• Support analysis of key business development initiatives and partnerships from an accounting perspective
• Coach, develop, and mentor accounting team to build a high performing team for the long-term

Experience & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• 12-15+ years of work experience in corporate accounting in roles of increasing responsibility
• 5+ years’ experience in leadership role
• Active CPA license and 5-10+ years prior public accounting experience
• Extensive international operations experience managing transfer pricing, intercompany transactions and foreign currencies/bank accounts
• Extensive prior M&A transaction experience from both a buy and sell side perspective
• Ability to train, mentor and motivate team members
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work and communicate effectively at all levels within and external to the organization
• Experience working in Sage Intacct a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software including advanced Excel capabilities
