Job Summary

As the IT Manager at Prometheus Group, you will be at the forefront of managing and ensuring the smooth operation of our internal business systems and infrastructure. Your leadership will be critical in maintaining the 24/7 uptime and service of these systems, providing crucial end-user support, and guiding the day-to-day activities of our Systems Administrator and Help Desk team.

Responsibilities include:

  • Work with the internal IT team to ensure 24/7 operational support for business systems in both infrastructure and SaaS applications
  • Perform technical work as required related to AWS and Azure hosted infrastructure and Windows system administration.
  • Serve as an expert and/or effective contributor to automate operational processes and continuous process improvements.
  • Operate and improve standard ITIL practices in an environment containing 500+ virtual machines in multiple regions, with Branch offices in many countries and complex networking.
  • Work closely with development department to provide test servers, hardware and software
  • Collaborate with the various departments and teams outside the department to understand the requirements and to deliver the requested services conforming to operations processes and policies.
  • Provide people leadership for the team, including designing training programs, onboarding programs, and identifying key players within the team.
  • Build and maintain relationship with the Cloud Hosting/3rd party vendors.
  • Identify and lead initiatives for automation and process improvement.
  • Define, establish, and report Key Performance Indicators to monitor operations services health.
  • Conduct System Outage, Root Cause Analysis, and reporting. Implement corrections to prevent the recurrence of incidents.
  • Develop, implement, communicate, and enforce IT policies, procedures, and process improvements.
  • Lead cross-functional teams; recruit, hire, mentor, and manage personnel with diverse technical skill sets.
  • Build and maintain working partnership with the professional services, project managers, and IT support teams to deliver optimal service to customers.
  • Conduct effective operational planning and execution of the planned work items to ensure timely work completion and service delivery.
  • Host daily team standups to ensure the completion of the planned work.
  • Schedule monthly 1:1s with each team member to ensure their well-being.

Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s in computer science or equivalent technology experience.
  • 3+ years in technical management or team lead role.
  • 5+ years of experience in AWS and Azure based cloud operations.
  • Proven Linux and Windows systems administration experience.
  • Demonstrated automation experience in Terraform, PowerShell, or Ansible.
