The Role
We are aggressively growing our engineering team to support our various financial products, including a new product to be launched this year. Artificial Intelligence is integral to our core products and a vital part of our business. Our ability to innovate and rapidly deploy AI/ML solutions remain a critical component of our success.
We are seeking motivated software engineers to work on our interdisciplinary scrum teams, building large scale systems at Prosper Marketplace. The ideal candidate is passionate about learning the Fintech domain and delivering cutting-edge, high-quality solutions to solve business problems. We utilize a progressive, test-driven, Agile development methodology that places a high premium on communication, teamwork, sound design and clean implementation.
Problems You Will Solve
- Architect, build, maintain, deploy, and support the internal GenAI platform (API/SDKs, services, platform backend, integration with third-party models and vendors, etc.).
- Design and build advanced GenAI plugins and services that streamline workflows and develop novel solutions to tackle complex challenges.
- Conduct code reviews and PR reviews for contributions from within the team and from the firm’s inner source contributors.
- Collaborate with our DevOps team to develop and maintain efficient CI/CD pipelines and processes, enhancing our development lifecycle.
- Collaborate with our Cloud Engineering team to build and maintain a multi-cloud platform offering and leverage model offerings across multiple cloud providers, adhering to industry best practices.
- Work with our research, product, data, and UI/UX teams to ensure requirements are being met in the platform build-out.
- Design and implement best practices for Vector DB architecture, including data modeling, entitlements, indexing, and query optimization.
- Stay ahead of the curve in Generative AI and LLMs, collaborating with our research team to ensure timely capabilities on the platform.
- Produce clear and detailed design and technical documentation for our APIs, features, tools, and other platform capabilities, ensuring transparency, accessibility, and ease of use.
All About You
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in designing, developing, deploying and monitoring solutions in a production environment.
- 2+ years of experience working with LLMs, Natural Language Processing (NLP), LangChain and/or prompt engineering.
- 5+ years of industry experience in Python development.
- Strong experience designing SDKs and REST and/or GraphQL APIs for integrating with internal business applications and third-party vendors.
- Strong experience with system architecture design and deploying scalable, reliable, and thoroughly tested systems in business-critical production environments.
- Experience with FastAPI, Pydantic, SQLAlchemy, Pandas.
- Experience with integration of cloud provider services including GCP Vertex, Azure OpenAI services or AWS Bedrock.
- You have experience in building large-scale, performant distributed software systems.
- Experience with writing self-documented code and conducting design/code reviews.
- Experience with high-level performance optimization and troubleshooting bottlenecks.
- Strategic planning skills and team player who can lead by example.
