Account Manager, Pharma Accounts

Job Summary

As the Account Manager, Pharma Accounts at RedSail Technologies, you will own and grow a portfolio that includes key pharmaceutical accounts. You will build long-term relationships with executive sponsors, key decision-makers, and partner organizations; coordinate complex contracted programs; and align account strategies with each customer’s business priorities. Your primary objectives will be to drive strong retention, deliver measurable customer value, support successful renewals, and identify opportunities for sustainable revenue growth across the account portfolio. The ideal candidate for this position consistently demonstrates proactive leadership, has an opportunistic/growth mindset, works well in a fast-paced environment, and can effectively collaborate cross-functionally to get the job done.

Key Duties

  • Foster Strategic Customer Relationships: Cultivate trusted, long-term relationships with executive sponsors, key decision-makers, and operational stakeholders across key pharmaceutical accounts. Maintain a clear understanding of each customer’s business priorities, organizational structure, and measures of success to strengthen satisfaction, loyalty, and retention.
  • Address Customer Needs and Account Priorities: Serve as the primary point of contact and strategic partner for assigned customer programs. Develop and maintain account plans that document customer objectives, stakeholder needs, program commitments, risks, growth opportunities, and short- and long-term priorities.
  • Lead Executive Communication and Business Reviews: Establish a consistent communication cadence for contracted programs, including monthly performance reporting, quarterly or executive business reviews, escalation updates, and strategic planning discussions. Translate program data into clear insights, recommendations, decisions, and account-level action plans.
  • Lead Cross-Functional Account Execution: Coordinate internal RedSail teams to deliver contracted commitments, optimize program performance, resolve complex issues, and achieve customer ROI expectations. Establish clear owners and timelines, monitor progress, and communicate risks or dependencies that could affect customer outcomes.
  • Drive Account Growth: Identify, qualify, and advance expansion opportunities within existing key and enterprise accounts by connecting customer priorities with RedSail solutions. Maintain visibility into the account opportunity pipeline and collaborate with sales, product, and service partners to develop value-based growth strategies.
  • Own Renewals and Retention: Lead the contract renewal process for assigned key and enterprise accounts by maintaining an accurate renewal forecast, assessing retention risk, documenting customer value, coordinating internal approvals, and developing negotiation strategies. Escalate risks early and drive timely actions that support seamless renewals and sustainable revenue growth.

Education/Training

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field

Required Work Experience/Skills

  • Proven success managing key, strategic, or enterprise pharmaceutical accounts, including complex customer programs, executive stakeholder relationships, retention, renewals, and revenue growth.
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate credibly with executive sponsors, translate complex information into business insights, and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical, financial, and problem-solving abilities, with experience using account and program data to evaluate customer value, identify risk, prioritize actions, and support renewal and growth decisions across a portfolio.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with internal teams to deliver exceptional customer outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and capitalize on business opportunities within existing customer accounts.
  • Familiarity with pharmaceutical industry trends, regulations, and customer needs
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and effectively manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills, including experience navigating complex renewals, commercial terms, stakeholder approvals, and competing customer and business priorities while driving mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Experience developing strategic account plans, facilitating executive business reviews, managing renewal and opportunity forecasts, and using CRM or account management tools to maintain accurate customer, pipeline, and risk information.
  • Proficient in leveraging AI tools to work efficiently in addressing customer and business needs.

Compensation & Total Rewards

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $115,000–$120,000 annually. In addition to base salary, this position offers the opportunity to earn additional compensation through the Account Manager, Pharma Accounts Compensation Program with a variable bonus. Target incentive earnings are based on individual, team, and/or company performance, subject to plan terms, eligibility requirements, and company policies. Incentive plan details will be provided upon hire. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors including relevant experience, skills, qualifications, internal equity, and geographic location.
