Renaissance is seeking a Bids and Tenders Manager to lead and evolve our end-to-end bidding and tendering capability to secure contracts aligned to our strategic growth objectives. This role will take ownership of the full bid lifecycle—from opportunity identification and qualification through to submission and post-bid evaluation—ensuring a disciplined, insight-led and commercially robust approach.
You'll define and implement a bid and tenders roadmap and best practice processes, governance, and tools across the organisation and will work closely with cross-functional teams to create compelling proposals that align with the company's strengths and strategy.
Bids & Tenders Manager Responsibilities include:
- Identify strategic opportunities – Monitor tender portals, procurement websites, and industry publications to proactively identify opportunities.
- Qualify opportunities – Undertake robust assessment of viability, profitability, risk, and strategic alignment, leading bid/no-bid decisions
- Coordinate bid teams – Align cross-functional teams, including sales, commercial, and legal experts, ensuring clear ownership and accountability for all deliverables
- Quality assurance – Take ownership of proposal quality, ensuring compliance, accuracy, competitiveness, and alignment to strategic objectives
- Develop compelling proposals – Oversee the creation of persuasive, high-quality responses to complex client requirements
- Technical writing – Support the translation of complex solutions into clear, client-focused and commercially impactful language
- Commercial structuring – Partner with finance teams to define pricing strategies and commercial models
- Value proposition development – Shape and articulate clear, differentiated value propositions and key benefits
- Vendor management – Coordinate with subcontractors and partners to ensure seamless bid delivery
- Senior management reporting – Provide regular, insight-led updates on bid pipeline, performance, and win rates
- Build and maintain bid libraries – Develop and continuously improve templates, case studies, and standard responses
- Track performance metrics – Monitor and analyse win rates, margins, and competitor activity to inform strategy
- Support team development – Develop and motivate team members to achieve individual and collective performance goals
- Foster positive team culture – Promote accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
Experience we’d love to see includes:
- Substantial experience in a similar role managing bids/tender processes
- Familiarity with public sector procurement or frameworks
- Knowledge of bid management tools
- Bid/proposal qualification (desirable)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a dynamic environment
- A collaborative approach and commitment to continuous learning

This is role is a Hybrid role based out of our Head office in Brentford. with the expectation with some travel to other offices as required for team.

📍Location: We are currently located in Brentford however due to relocate to another London location later in 2026. It will be more central than our current location. Our current office is also dog friendly so there may be a well-behaved pet or two in on some days.
