We’re excited to be looking for a Part Time Retail Associate, to join our rapidly growing team at the Pittsfield, MA Outlet Store.

Objective:

Annie Selke is seeking a part-time Retail Associate to work in our Outlet store in Pittsfield, MA. Under direct supervision, the Retail Associate processes retail sales and cash register transactions, sells floor merchandise and assists customers with purchases and orders as required. They will also restock shelves and maintain merchandising and visual display standards and will implement stock control and security procedures while maintaining appropriate records.

Key Responsibilities:

  • This position is Part time: 20-24 hours/week including weekend hours
  • Operates cash register to conduct sales transactions, handles cash and makes change as required.
  • Sells merchandise, advises customers on merchandise price and features.
  • Assists individual customers in the ordering of merchandise.
  • Receives Annie Selke Companies’ Products and displays merchandise in accordance with established policies and procedures; ensures that stock levels and displays are in accordance with established standards.
  • Performs general floor maintenance and housekeeping; monitors and maintains the condition and safekeeping of merchandise.
  • Inspects facilities to ensure customer and employee safety.
  • Oversees the processing of routine returns as appropriate.
  • Prepares routine daily reports such as credit card receipts, cash register reconciliation and miscellaneous routine reports.
  • Identifies and resolves discrepancies in invoices and orders.
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Desired Education, Experience, Skills:

  • Ability to operate cash register
  • Must be comfortable lifting objects between 30-50 pounds regularly
  • Ability to secure and handle cash
  • Prior retail experience is preferred, but not required
  • Knowledge of basic visual merchandising techniques
  • Knowledge of basic cash management procedures
  • Knowledge of retail floor sales techniques
  • Ability to prepare routine paperwork.
  • Knowledge of retail floor merchandising and stock control procedures.
  • Ability to read, sort, check, count, and verify numbers
  • Knowledge of store security and safety procedures
  • Knowledge of customer service standards and procedures.
