The Position
As a Manufacturing Test Facilities MTS, you will be part of a team that supports the operation, maintenance, function and documentation surrounding Capital Test Equipment in the application of Environmental Space Simulation Testing.
This is a 12-month contract TERM.
Responsibilities
- Operation, maintenance, upgrading and troubleshooting of Environmental Test Facilities (including Vibration, TVAC, Thermal and Structural Test Equipment)
- Organize and Optimize Environmental Test Lab Spaces
- Participate in Risk Assessments, Workplace Safety Inspections and implement safety-driven changes in lab spaces
- Collaborate with other disciplines to prepare and document Training Plans for equipment
- Write and Review Technical Documents pertaining to Test Equipment including standard operating procedures
- Preform 6S and apply of Lean Manufacturing principles in Lab Spaces
- Review Engineering Test Procedures and test requirements, validate and make recommendations for feasibility of testing
- Assist in execution of projects related to Test Equipment
- Day-to-day reoccurring task for lab operation (kanban, tactical meetings, schedule adherence)
- Liaise with cross-functional team members to resolve technical issues
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering/Industrial Engineering or a Technologist diploma in a related field with 5+ years of relevant experience
- Minimum 1 years of experience in manufacturing and test equipment (aerospace preferred)
- Strong technical writing skills with experience writing documents, manuals and procedures
- Independent and collaborative worker
- Experienced in 6S, TPM, Lean Manufacturing, TPM
- Demonstrated multi-tasking and task-prioritizing capability in a high-pressure environment
- Experience in Environmental Test Equipment(Vibration, TVAC, Thermal and Structural Test Equipment) is an asset
Comments/Special Considerations:
Successful candidates must obtain and hold security clearance at the reliability status level, and pass security assessment for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP).

The compensation range for this position is $70K - $82K annually. The specific compensation offered will be based on the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.
