Role:

This is the level of continuous training. Under the supervision of more experienced technicians or members of technical staff/engineers, performs a variety of tasks related to established methods and processes. Works from written instructions or general guidelines on equipment and systems of basic complexity.

Responsibilities/Tasks:

  • Participate in the assembly or modification of Material Ground and Support Equipment based on specific directives.
  • Carry out various tasks, including installing, repairing, testing and maintaining MGSE-related equipment.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Collaborate with engineers on MGSE design issues by researching and recommending parts or components.
  • Carry out work in accordance with internal procedures and in compliance with our occupational health and safety rules.
  • Support the testing, troubleshooting and alignment of equipment, sub-systems and systems.
  • May be required to calibrate and/or characterise various tooling components.
  • Perform other related tasks.

Minimum qualifications required:

  • College diploma or equivalent degree in mechanical, aeronautical engineering or related field, as assigned.
  • A combination of other relevant experience/education may be considered.
  • 0 to 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Fluency in spoken and written French. Knowledge of English is an asset. (Contact with customers outside Québec, work on English-language).
  • Knowledge and experience relevant to the assignment.

Comments/Special Considerations:

Successful candidates must obtain and hold security clearance at the reliability status level, and pass security assessment for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP).
